We are thrilled to announce that yet another puppy has found a home! Bailey will become the next furry member of the McConville family. They are so excited, as are we!

We are so excited to welcome another family down from the Chicago suburbs to see, and possibly choose from, the puppies! It looks like they will be choosing between Bailey and Prince, as they want a boy; Francis is definitely spoken for, and it looks like Caesar has possibly found a forever home, as well. The process of finding just the right fit between owners and puppies has been great! The entire puppy experience has brought nothing but great joy, and we feel truly blessed to be a part of lives of these adorable pups for the first 10 weeks of their lives! My husband said last night that he hasn't giggled like this since he was a young boy, and we find ourselves smiling so much that our faces ache! Such a problem to have, right? We look forward to meeting Marge and her family on Tuesday!
Can you believe it? The puppies will be 3 weeks old tomorrow. Wow! It's going so fast! They are starting to bark and growl at one another during playtime. Puppy barks and growls are nothing like adult dog barks and growls. These are just adorable, and hilarious! They try to act so bossy with each other, tugging on ears and such, while being roly-poly awkward little fur-balls! I will try to post a video soon. It's just too cute to NOT share!
The puppies are on the move! Wow! They are walking all over the whelping box...and all over each other. And they sometimes stop to tug on an ear or bite the tail of a sibling, just for fun. Oh my goodness, they are so cute! My husband says that their cuteness-factor goes up each day. If this is true, I don't know how he is going to be able to stand it! Who is this gushing, awe-struck, puppy-loving guy? And what has he done with my husband? It's like the character Agnes in Despicable Me, who exclaims, "It's so fluffy, I'm gonna die!" Well, just change it to "They're so cute, I'm gonna die!", but be sure to keep it in that voice that she uses. Then you'll have an idea of what is happening here at LOMAH on a daily basis. And by the way, if you don't know the Despicable Me reference, please look it up on youtube. Or better yet, just watch the movie. Seriously. It's a must-see!
Speaking of a must-see, watch for new pics on the site. They should be up tomorrow or the next day. Then you will see what I mean about the danger of the cuteness-factor. Time to go play with puppies...and try NOT to die. I'll let you know how that goes. And by the way, don't tell my husband that I ratted him out for all to read as being puppy-stupefied. Wow! Two of the six pups have already more than TRIPLED their birth weight, and they won't be two weeks old until tomorrow! We weigh them daily, and it's been quite fascinating to see just how fast they grow and change. Next should be the eyes and ears opening/working, which will open up a whole new world for the little guys and gals. I'm definitely looking forward to THAT miracle!
Stay tuned... Snow has blanketed the land. Someone forgot to tell weather-control-central that it is SPRING! Jeepers! Luckily, here at LOMAH, the pups are oblivious to this obvious mistake made by nature.
Speaking of nature, we have six beautiful, sweet puppies, and they are PERFECT! No mistakes made in the creation of these adorable little fur-balls! They are growing SO fast, and will soon have their eyes open. About that same time, they should be able to hear. Right now they rely on their incredible sense of smell, which is unerring! It's quite a sight to witness. They know exactly when Mama Sasha comes back into the whelping box from a potty trip, or from eating and drinking (so that they can take it all right back out of her again). Everything about this experience has just been so miraculous and joyous! We feel privileged to be a part of new life and growth. It's so much fun to see the wonder on my husband's face as he looks in on the pups! And we love sharing them with all of you! We will continue to update the site, as well as our facebook page, with pictures and videos. Thanks for coming along on this journey with us! And remember, at four weeks of age they will be ready for visitors, so please come out and play! Just call ahead first, and we will be more than happy to welcome you into our home, and watch as these little babies welcome their way into your hearts! |
